The Power of Yet: Building a Growth Mindset Classroom

This professional development course helps K–12 educators understand and apply growth mindset practices that support student confidence, motivation, resilience, and academic success. Participants will examine the differences between fixed and growth mindsets, reflect on how educators’ beliefs and language shape classroom culture, and learn practical strategies for using feedback, goal setting, productive struggle, reflection, and positive reinforcement to encourage continuous improvement. Educators will also explore ways to adapt growth mindset practices across grade levels and diverse learning needs while modeling perseverance, flexibility, and learning from mistakes in their own instructional practice.
