Do They Care? A Classroom Vibe Check 

Ever wonder what your students would say if you asked them, “Does your teacher care about you?” This course dives into Domains 2A and 2B of the Danielson Framework to help you take an honest look at your classroom’s culture and relationships. You’ll explore the difference between proficient and distinguished practice in building rapport and creating a strong culture of learning, as you pick up practical strategies for showing students you care in ways that actually land, through your feedback, your responses to their work, and the small daily interactions that shape how students feel about learning. By the end, you’ll use a self-assessment rubric to reflect on your own classroom “vibe” and choose one concrete step to strengthen it, so students don’t just meet expectations, but also feel respected, supported, and genuinely invested in their own learning.
