Restorative Practices: Dialogue Circle

This course is available for IU8 schools only.

Traditional methods of school discipline tend to be reactive and punitive in nature. They have been demonstrated to be ineffective in guiding our students to learn how to behave. Restorative practices help to provide a framework for building classroom community as well as a way to respond to challenging behavior. Restorative practices also help to build and maintain healthy respectful relationships among students and staff. In this micro-course, you will learn the value of check-in circles and how to implement them within your classroom.

Downloadable Resources Included in the Course:

📄 Common Norms for Proactive Community Building Circles
📄 Ways to Run a Circle
