Supporting the Spectrum: Unlocking Communication in the Classroom

Communication is a notable area of need for many individuals with autism. Although many individuals with autism are able to utilize their verbal speech, there are many autistic adults that are using their voice to help educators and service providers understand how difficult speaking is and how beneficial additional communication supports are. This microcourse will provide a lens of thinking about communication barriers in the classroom for autistic students who may be verbal and unable to advocate for additional communication support.
